Open House to Kick off Gaughan Week Celebration
UNL will celebrate Gaughan Week, April 11-15. Gaughan Week events explore the diversity of cultures through activities, performances and presentations. The week begins with an open house, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center. The event will include information about programs offered through the multicultural center. Food and free T-shirts will be available.

E-Week Celebration Begins Today
The College of Engineering will celebrate E-Week, April 11-15. The celebration includes a variety of activities, including an E-Week open house, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 15 in Othmer Hall. The theme for E-Week 2011 is "Solving Tomorrow's Problems Today." The open house is open to faculty, staff, students and the public.
Senior project display presentations, noon to 3 p.m., April 15 in the Othmer Hall lobby, are centered on the E-Week theme. Those projects include a student-run, non-profit organization's work to create a microbial fuel cell; student-built control systems that help conserve energy in homes; and design alternatives to increase transportation safety at the intersection of 14th and Superior streets in Lincoln. more...
Register for Burrito Bike Rides

UNL Outdoor Adventures and Chipotle Mexican Grill are teaming up to offer burrito bike rides through Lincoln. The community rides are 5 to 7:30 p.m., April 13, 20 and 27. The rides leave from and return to the UNL Bike Shop at the Campus Rec Center. Along with the bike ride, the event includes a free burrito from Chipotle.
The event is free for UNL students and Campus Rec members, and $5 for the general public/guests. The UNL Bike Shop can provide a bike and riding gear if necessary. A limited number of spots remain in the spring rides. Register by calling (402) 472-4777 or on the Campus Rec website.
Idiots and Angels; A Somewhat Gentle Man at the Ross
UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Idiots and Angels and A Somewhat Gentle Man Both films will screen through Apr. 14.
