Student Move Out Beginning

Finals week begins today. During this time, UNL will have approximately 5,000 students moving out of the residence halls.
Plan for extra travel time because areas around the residence halls will be congested. Watch for barricades, closed traffic lanes, and parking cadets providing traffic control. If possible, consider alternate parking and/or travel routes to avoid areas around residence halls through May 6.
UNL Summer Reading Courses
Summer Reading Courses allow you to complete your coursework without being tied to a classroom. Courses may consist of reading required books and writing papers about the material, while another may require minimal writing, but frequent online coursework. Choose from over 70 courses including COMM 380, ECON 211, ENGL 205, HIST/ETHN 171, HIST 241, NUTR 253, POLS 227, and SOCI/ETHN 217. These courses apply to their respective ACE area.
Registration also continues for the 2011 Summer Sessions. Use summer to stay on track for graduation, reduce the course load required in other terms, avoid scheduling conflicts, take an extra elective, concentrate on areas of study that need full-time attention, or overcome academic deficiencies.
Hillestad Gallery hosts 'Personal Fences' exhibit
The exhibit "Personal Fences" opens todays at UNL's Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery. This exhibition unites two seemingly different ideas to form a connection. Designer Sandra Starkey, a master's degree candidate from Lincoln, looks twice to find a link between fences and handbags. Structures that we employ to define our personal space on a grand scale known as fences, are often similar to what we accomplish on a smaller scale with handbags. From Today@UNL
