N-Sider columns countdown to Big Ten entry
In the days leading up to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's entry into the Big Ten Conference on July 1, the Athletic Department's Randy York is posting a series of 10 N-Sider columns. This Countdown to the Big Ten series will culminate with an N-Sider on Big Ten Conference Commissioner Jim Delany on July 1. UNL websites transition to UNLcms
Information Services is working with campus units to migrate web pages from the Frontier server to UNLcms. Frontier, UNL's main web host server, is being retired. All content on Frontier must be migrated to UNLcms if it is to remain available after June 30, 2012.
UNLcms is a content management system that allows users to publish web content - text, pictures and links - through a web browser. It allows for website design without the need to know the intricacies of web programming language of specialized design software. Read more about UNLcms on Today@UNL.

With sights on medical school, graduate earns Fulbright to S. Korea
UNL graduate Sarah Lee of Omaha will travel to South Korea to work as an English teaching assistant on a Fulbright scholarship. She will also volunteer in local hospitals and medical clinics during her trip. Lee graduated from UNL in May with majors in Spanish and chemistry, and a minor in mathematics. She wants to go to medical school after her Fulbright experience.
To prepare for medical school, Lee has volunteered with Bryan LGH East Hospital, traveled to Nicaragua on medical mission trips with her church and worked on a two-year UCARE project with Deb Brown, assistant professor in the School of Biological Sciences. The Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience program lets students work with faculty to participate in research at an early stage in their academic careers. Toasted Ponies headline June 23 Fountain Frolics
The Fountain Frolics summer concert series continues June 23 with the Toasted Ponies performing on the Nebraska Union Plaza. Fountain Frolics concerts are noon to 1 p.m. every Thursday through July 28 (except June 30).
Featuring four of the region's most popular and accomplished musicians, the Toasted Ponies play a unique blend of bluegrass, acoustic music and original songs. Members are Steve Hanson (banjo, mandolin and guitar), Erin McGovern (guitar and mandolin), Terry Keefe (fiddle and mandolin) and Jim Pipher (bass and emcee).
