HAMANN AUDITORIUM, NOONJustice Clarence Thomas to deliver Hruska Lecture
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will deliver the Roman L. Hruska Institute for the Administration of Justice lecture at noon, Sept. 15 in the College of Law's Hamann Auditorium. The lecture is free and open to the public.
This is the second time in 2011 that Justice Thomas has given his time to the University of Nebraska College of Law. In May, he delivered the commencement address to the college's 2011 graduates. While on campus, Justice Thomas will meet with groups of students and guest lecture in classes in addition to his public lecture. Read more about this lecture on Today@UNL

Nanoscience building naming celebration is today
A naming ceremony for UNL's new nanoscience facility is at 3 p.m., today. The building is on the corner of 16th and W streets. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be in the grassy area west of Jorgensen Hall.

Thorson to deliver Brown Bag lecture
Bruce Thorson, associate professor in news-editorial, is the featured speaker in the Nebraska Historical Society's Brown Bag Lecture. The lecture, "Searching for the Real Nebraska: A Photo Essay on the Great Recession," is at noon, today at the Nebraska History Museum's Blackman Auditorium, 15th and P streets. Deadliest U.S. labor war is historian's topic

An award-winning author and historian will explore the nation's deadliest uprising within the labor force when he presents the annual Carroll R. Pauley Lecture on Sept. 15.
Thomas G. Andrews, an associate professor of history at the University of Colorado, Boulder, will present "Killing for Coal: America's Deadliest Labor War" beginning at 7:30 p.m. at UNL's Great Plains Art Museum, 1155 Q St. His talk is free and open to the public. NEBRASKA UNION PLAZA, 6PM
'Fiesta on the Green' is today

UNL's annual Fiesta on the Green, a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, is 6 p.m., today on the Nebraska Union Plaza.
The free, open to the public event features food, song and dance that honors the contribution of cultures associated with Mexico, the Caribbean, Central American and South America. Featured performers are Mariachi Zapata, Alicia Dominguez and Marcos and Sabor. In event of rain, Fiesta on the Green will move in the Nebraska Union Ballroom.

National Theatre broadcast shows at Ross Sept. 15, 18
Broadcast live from the National Theatre, "One Man, Two Guvnors" is a crowd-pleasing slap stick comedy based on Goldoni's "A Servant of Two Masters". It shows at the Ross Sept. 15, with an encore screening Sept. 18. Tickets are available at the Ross Box Office and online at the Ross website. Read more about these broadcasts on Today@UNL
