Woldt to discuss water physics, vulnerability at Nebraska Colloquium

Wayne Woldt
Wayne Woldt, associate professor of Biological Systems Engineering and School of Natural Resources, will discuss water from frames of both known and unknown physics, concepts of metaphysics, and global vulnerability 7 p.m. as part of the Nebraska Colloquium.
Woldt, with more than 25 years of research and education in water resources, will present "WATER: Physics, Metaphysics and Vulnerability", a far-reaching discussion on our relation with water and its implications for global sustainability.
"Water is a mysterious substance," Woldt said. "Many of its physical properties are not well understood, and this lack of understanding opens the door to metaphysical frames of reference as we try to understand the water environment and its place in global security. Huskers 'Going Green for Big Red' gameday challenge Oct. 29
The Huskers face another competition during the Oct. 29 game versus Michigan State -- a recycling challenge. UNL Recycling is looking for volunteers to help collect recyclables following that game as part of EPA's Game Day Challenge. This is UNL's second year participating in this nationwide contest.
Throughout the Huskers' football season the "Go Green for Big Red" project recycles in the tailgating areas around the Memorial Stadium. But for the Michigan State game, volunteers will help gather all the materials inside the stadium. Read more about this challenge on Today@UNL.
