'Marina Abramovic: The Artist is Present' shows at the Ross
"Marina Abramovic: The Artist is Present," which follows the performance artist as she she prepares for a retrospective of her work, continues at the Ross Media Arts Center. "Arbitrage," starring Richard Gere, continues for a second week.
New online grad certificate in horticulture
UNL has begun a new online graduate certificate program in horticulture that's aimed at professionals already working in the field. Applications now are being accepted for the Spring 2013 semester for three graduate certificates available under the program.
"The program also will appeal to anyone interested in exploring potential new careers in the field of horticulture," said Ellen Paparozzi, professor of horticulture and head of the new program. Read more about this program in Today@UNL.

Diversity Leadership Symposium features Chad Smith
UNL Law College and OASIS present Chad Smith, former Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, at a free public lecture 4:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Law College. His keynote will cover leadership, improving education, while preserving cultural values and language. Panel discussion to follow.

Walk-in Flu Shot Clinics begin today at UHC
The University Health Center offers walk-in flu shot clinics - no appointments required. Flu shots are free for UNL students paying UPFF facility fees and $30 for faculty and staff.
The clinics will be held at UHC (1500 U St.) from 9 - 11 a.m. on the following dates:
- Mondays: Nov. 5, 12
- Tuesdays: Nov. 6, 13

The Internet and Interactive Media group of University Communications and Information Services has concluded the first phase in its effort to provide full support to all devices - desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets - by implementing a suite of web technologies collectively known as 'responsive design.' This week, the internal and external homepages were re-launched as 'responsive' designs.
You can see the effects of responsive design in your desktop browser by simply re-sizing your browser window (the page will reformat as the window is narrowed), or by viewing on your tablet or smartphone.
