Join in and learn the vintage embroidery hand stitching technique of ‘counted cross-stitch’ during a virtual workshop on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 9–11:30 a.m. for ages 8 and up. Register by Friday, Jan. 8 by emailing Kristin at kristin.geisert@unl.edu or calling the Extension office at 402-441-7180. No fee. Parents/adults will need to help guide younger, beginner 4-H sewers during the entire workshop. Experts will provide specific instructions, tips and answer questions via Zoom throughout the morning. Supply kits will be available for pick up from the Extension office lobby for those who register as well as the Zoom link details. The sewn item made during the workshop may be framed or sewn onto a pillow or finished in another way to exhibit at the fair.
