This past year has resulted in increased interest of gardening, food preservation, and cooking/baking!
The 4-H cooking project manuals include four different levels (101-401) and a helpers guide. They provide content information, food science experiments and a variety of classic recipes that are youth tested.
The 4-H Food preservation manuals are: Freezing, Drying, Boiling Water Canning and Pressure Canning. Each manual includes nutrition information, kitchen basics, the basics of the preservation procedure, and activities for the youth to conduct to learn the techniques.
These may be purchased at https://shop4-h.org/collections/healthy-living-foods-curriculum or at the Extension office.
