4-H youth ages 8 & up are invited to a 4-H Zip It Up! sewing workshop to learn how to insert lap and invisible zippers into garments on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 10–11:30 a.m. at the Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County conference rooms, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Suite A, Lincoln. Improve your zipper installation skills or learn for the first time. The instructor will be 4-H volunteer Kath Conroy. No cost to attend. Bring your sewing machine and sewing kit of supplies. Zippers and fabric will be provided. Make sure your machine is in good working order. Some office sewing machines are available for use upon request. Parents/adults are requested to attend to assist their 4-H’er(s).
Free fabric will be available for 4-H'ers to take after the workshop.
