The Monday, July 15 Babysitting Trainings is full, but Nebraska Extension is starting a waitlist in case of cancellations. If there is enough interest, another training will be offered in August. To get on the waitlist, call the front desk at 402-441-7180 or email hayley.jackson@unl.edu.
Presented by Extension Educator Hayley Jackson, the Babysitting Trainings are open to youth ages 10–15 and offered 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County conference rooms, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Suite A, Lincoln. Cost is $35 per participant. Bring a sack lunch.
Participants will:
• Learn about child development.
• Learn how to identify common hazards in the home.
• Be introduced to First Aid & CPR techniques.
• Make a toy for a child.
• Make and enjoy a healthy snack.
• Create a business card for their babysitting business.
• Receive a babysitters workbook.
