The 2025 Nebraska Make It With Wool contest will be held Saturday, Nov. 22 in Lexington at Lexington Middle School, 1100 N. Washington Street. Competition starts at 9 a.m. and a public style show will be at 1 p.m. Open to youth and adults, participants model their creations in sewing, knitting, crocheting, spinning and weaving of wool fabrics and yarns. There is also a “Made for Others” category. The fabrics/yarns used for the wool contest must be 100% wool or wool blend (minimum 60% wool or specialty wool fiber).
The state entry fee is $15, plus the national entry fee is $15. In addition, there is a $7 wool testing fee per each different fabric swatch and/or 36‑inch length of each yarn. Entry forms, wool samples, registration and wool testing fees are due by Oct. 15 to Andrea Nisley, 74662 Road 431, Elwood, NE 68937.
