A Nebraska 4‑H Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Workshop will be held Oct. 11–12 at the Ashland Gun Club, 426 County Rd. C, Ashland. 4‑H volunteers have the opportunity to become certified as an adult (21 years and older) or apprentice (14–20 years old) leader in the shotgun or archery discipline. Workshop participants will learn under expert instruction from members of the Nebraska State 4‑H Shooting Sports Training Team. Schedule for Saturday, Oct. 11 is registration at 8 a.m., program starts at 8:30 a.m. and dinner will be offered at 6 p.m. Schedule for Sunday, Oct. 12 is 8 a.m. to noon.

Registration fee must be paid by Oct. 6. Early bird registration fee by Oct. 1 is $140 per adult or $120 for apprentice. Late registration fee after Oct. 1 is $200. Fee includes meals, supplies and program materials. Participants must make their own lodging arrangements. There is a minimum number of participants required to offer this workshop.

There are a series of four National 4‑H Shooting Sports online modules which individuals MUST complete prior to the in-person training to become eligible for certification. Information on the modules and how to enroll is online at https://go.unl.edu/onlineuserguide. Workshop participants are responsible for the $20 online course fee. The entire series of modules will take approximately 3–4 hours, so please plan accordingly. Individuals who have already completed the online modules are not required to complete them again.
