The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will host its 3rd annual Husker Youth Meats Workout on Monday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Animal Science Complex Meat Laboratory, 3940 Fair St., Lincoln. This come-and-go event will feature a wide variety of meat products for students to practice on (beef, pork & lamb carcasses, wholesale cuts classes, retail ID). It’s a great warm-up for upcoming contests and a fun way to build skills in a low-pressure environment.
Important reminders for participants:
• Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required
• Meat lab PPE (hard hat, hair/beard net) must be worn — UNL can provide gear if needed
