Starting Monday, Jan. 5, a NEW 4‑H Volunteer Orientation will be required in 4‑H Online for club and project leaders, as well as direct volunteers.
What You Need to Know
• If you enroll before Jan. 5:
- You will not need to complete the new orientation this year, as long as you have already completed the current orientation.
- This is why we strongly encourage volunteers to complete your enrollment before Jan. 5.
• If you enroll on or after Jan. 5:
- You will be required to complete the new online Volunteer Orientation — regardless of whether you’ve completed a previous version in the past.
Volunteers can complete their enrollment at https://4honline.com/
About the New Volunteer Orientation
• The training is broken into six short sections, each 10 minutes or less, and you can complete them at your own pace.
• Each volunteer must complete the training individually in their own 4‑H Online profile.
• Orientation will now be required every 3 years, starting with the 2026-27 program year.
• This update does NOT change the background screening schedule (still every 5 years).
Why Enroll Now?
Enrolling before Jan. 5 means:
• You avoid needing to complete the new orientation this year.
• Your orientation cycle won’t restart until the 2026-27 program year.
