The 2026 Calibraska Summer Program will offer several camps for youth ages 5 years and up across the state, including in Lincoln at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts in Lincoln during the month of June:
• Animation 1.0 for 7-12 years
• Animation 1.0 for 13 years and up
• Pixilation Animation for 7 years and up
• Animation 2.0: Paper Puppets for 9 years and up
• 3D Modeling & Animated Gifs for 13 years and up
• Character Design for 10 years and up

The Calibraska Arts Initiative (not affiliated with University of Nebraska–Lincoln or 4‑H) presents these workshops as part of its mission to bring specialized arts offerings from the California industries to various Nebraska communities where access is limited to technology, cultural or arts institutions, professional mentorship and resources to the creative industries. Each class, camp, or workshop is taught by experienced teaching artists and professionals from the West Coast ‘scene’. This includes zooming them in or bringing them out to teach in person on the Calibraska ‘tour.’
