Nebraska 4‑H is compiling monthly theme activities, “Spark Start,” to match seasonal themes and real-world topics, making it simple to keep youth curious, creative and learning throughout the year.
July activities focus on life in space as an astronaut. Through hands-on learning about growing food in outer space, operating lunar terrain vehicle and experiencing a day in the life of astronaut, youth will join astronaut Isabella Hernandez on this journey. These engaging activities help young people to shoot for the stars, sparking curiosity and open their minds to the many possibilities of careers in outer space.
The featured activities for youth ages K–12 are easy to use in homes, classrooms, clubs and afterschool programs — making it simple to spark curiosity and explore the galaxies with an astronaut.
