Who is this workshop intended for?
Educators who are interested in facilitating YEC in their classrooms or other educational settings. The program was designed by Extension specialists to serve Extension faculty around the state and region.
Who is YEC designed for?
High school-aged youth interested in learning entrepreneurial and tech skills. YEC is sponsored by RFI and USDA so there is a focus on rural and non-urban youth.
What is required with this workshop?
We ask that you intend to facilitate a YEC program for a cohort of at least 6 students within the next year.
When is Train the Trainer?
March 17th and 18th from 9-5, and a planning session March 19th from 9-12. All days will take place at UNL’s city campus.
What is the cost?
Cost depends on your affiliation.
General (i.e. Nebraska public schools): $1200
Non-profit serving the underserved: $300
UNL-Nebraska Extension: fully funded fellowship (fee waived)
The cost and registration for the workshop includes:
• 3-day training workshop opportunity
• 1:1 consultation
• Training materials
• Breakfast, refreshment, and lunch during the workshop
• Follow-up Q&A webinars
• On-going support
