Career Fairs Move Virtual Fall 2020

Career Fair
Career Fair

The UNL Career Services Community are excited to host the University Career Fairs virtually in fall 2020. The Career Fair will take place on an online platform designed for career fairs in sessions held over four days, each day targeted to different career pathways reflected across UNL majors. Learn more about the virtual Career Fairs here.
Data from ongoing Career Fairs indicates on average, over 65% of students participating in a Career Fair did so based largely on encouragement from faculty and/or staff. Such encouragement may take the form of promoting participation in advising conversations with individuals or student groups, discussion of the potential benefits as a part of a class presentation or lecture, extra credit awarded for student participation in the Career Fair, assigning participation as part of a class, or class announcements. Whatever the method, Advisors, staff, instructors, and faculty encouragement make a difference in getting students to take advantage of the opportunities presented by Career Fairs.
Are you already encouraging students to attend this fall's virtual Career Fairs? If so, Career Services thanks you and want to show our appreciation for your support with contact-free delivery to you of Career Fair employer swag! The Career Services Community are busy getting the Career Fairs ready to go on the new virtual platform and will be happy to provide digital Career Fair communications easily shared with your students individually, in classes, programs, and student organizations and we can work with you on other ways for you to encourage your students to participate in the Career Fairs.
