ESL Support Lab open to all international students

Programs in English as a Second Language offers an English as a Second Language (ESL) Support Lab for international students and scholars who may need language-related support in their courses, reading and writing assignments.

The lab can further assist students in:

  • understanding homework or assigned projects from ESL or academic classes;
  • understanding difficult reading passages from textbooks or other materials;
  • brainstorming ideas for projects or formal essays;
  • revising formal essays;
  • incorporating and properly cite resources in formal essays; and
  • improving grammar and vocabulary in assignments.
The support lab sessions are conducted via Zoom from Jan. 24 to May 6, 2022. The 30-minute sessions are on:
  • Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.
