Do you know a standout undergraduate student — one who is especially inquisitive, engaged, and well prepared for graduate study and/or careers?

The Office of National & International Fellowships seeks referrals of juniors and graduating seniors who may be interested in applying for awards for research, public service, graduate study, or English Teaching abroad.

Our popular awards include the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, graduate leadership scholarships (Marshall, Rhodes, Knight-Hennessy Scholars, etc.), and graduate scholarships for the U.S. Foreign Service (Rangel, Pickering, Payne).

Applicants for these awards participate in advising over the summer. Interested students will be provided access to our Canvas advising workspace resources and personalized application materials feedback. Your student can also book a National Fellowships advising appointment through MyPLAN.

Husker fellowship successes in 2021-22 include:
• CoE senior Aaron Haake received the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
• CEHS senior Laura Jensen was offered a Fulbright U.S. Student Community-Based Combined grant to Austria.
• Seniors Sarah Brady, Leigh Jahnke, Adrian Pilkington, Spencer Tessman, and Joanna Walton and graduate student Celie Knudsen were offered Fulbright U.S. Student English Teaching Assistantships.
• CASNR senior Aline Abayo became a Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Junior Fellow.
• CAS senior Patrick Baker interviewed as a Finalist for the Marshall Scholarship.
• CoE junior Sarah Altman received a Goldwater Scholarship.
• CAS junior Rachael Lange was offered a Critical Language Scholarship.
