The Intern Foundry (IF) program is seeking ambitious students eager to make a meaningful community impact while refining valuable skills. A partnership between the Foundry and the University Honors Program, IF offers an internship experience centered on addressing community needs through project-based placements.

IF serves as a bridge between high-achieving students and small nonprofit and mission-oriented organizations. Participants undertake real-world projects aligned with their skills and passions, advancing the organization's mission and immediate objectives. Regardless of previous internship experience, IF is designed to enhance students’ transferable skill sets in areas such as project management, communication, fundraising, and advocacy.

IF internships offer flexibility and accessibility, spanning 120 hours or 8 hours per week over a 15-week semester. Work arrangements are adaptable, accommodating on-site, remote, or hybrid preferences and interns earn $15 per hour.

The program also includes two Honors courses that complement the internship experience: the one-credit UHON 401H explores purpose-driven project management in the Spring Pre-Session, while the zero-credit UHON 99H facilitates reflective learning throughout the Spring.

Applications for the Spring 2024 cohort are due on Friday, October 6. Please encourage students to apply. They may reach out to IF program student coordinators for more information: matt@thefoundry.co and drew@thefoundry.co.
