Helping International Students that Face Discrimination Workshop

Supporting International Student Workshop
Supporting International Student Workshop

The International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) and the Center for Transformative Teaching (CTT) invite you to a series of discussions designed to help instructors and staff best support the learning and academic success of international students.

International students often face challenges stemming from intersecting identities including race, gender, ethnicity, and other factors. In this discussion-based workshop, members of the CTT and ISSO will help facilitate a conversation stemming from a series of case studies based on the lived experiences of international students. Participants will leave with a better understanding of the struggles that international students face as well as practical ideas for responding to similar situations that they may encounter when working with students.

In each workshop, participants will be presented with a set of case studies that will be used to support an in-depth conversation. All workshops will be on Zoom.
