As classes begin to close, more students will be asking about the waitlists during advising conversations. Husker Hub put together information that may help!

What could prevent students from being enrolled in a wait-listed class?
• They are enrolled in a different section of the class
• A co-requisite is required
• A time conflict with a class on their schedule
• They have a registration hold
• The course requires a permission code, and they did not enter a code when they went on the waitlist
• A requirement for enrollment (recitation or lab) cannot also be added. For example, the requirement is closed or conflicts with a class on their schedule

If a student is in the first position but cannot be registered for the course, they remain on the waitlist but will continue to be bypassed until they meet all requirements to be registered. Students remain on waitlists until all waitlists are cleared on the census date.

What communication do students receive?
The only waitlist related communication students receive is if they were registered for the class.
