Reimer Seaman earns honor from International Alliance for Women in Music

Glenn Korff School of Music Associate Professor of Voice Jamie Reimer Seaman has been awarded the International Alliance for Women in Music (IAWM) Programming Award for 2020.

This new annual award and recognition program honors and endorses those performers who have made a deliberate, conscious effort to achieve greater gender equity in their programming by including women composers and/or performers.

“I am so pleased to advance the work of women in music and am honored to be chosen for this recognition,” Reimer Seaman said.

Reimer Seaman, a soprano, has performed in opera, oratorio and recital venues around the U.S., Italy, Germany, Brazil and Australia. Her concert appearances include performances of Mozart Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Canteloube’s Chants d’Auvergne, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Choral Fantasy, as well as Liszt’s Christus for the American Liszt Society’s international festival.
