The Nebraska Alumni Association is again offering Future Husker University on July 15. This immersive Husker experience on UNL's campus is for children 7 years old to 13 years old who are accompanied by at least one adult.

The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts is offering two classes:

• See the Light: Stage Lighting & Color with Assistant Professor of Theatre Michelle Harvey. Join us in the theatre for science and art as we explore how reflected colored light affects the things we see day to day. This includes yourself, so wear your favorite color! You’ll explore the science of color and light, while enjoying the art of designing the color, shape and intensity with those lights. A special guest may drop by to see if we can make a Lil’ Blue or Lil’ Green!

• Art of the Poster with Assistant Professor of Practice in Graphic Design Jen Landis. Do you love art and have a passion for a cause, like global warming or animal cruelty? Learn how to combine your voice, personal art and mixed media to create a meaningful graphic design poster. In this class, you will combine your handwriting, photographs and photocopies to learn about the balance, proximity, repetition and symmetry that goes into graphic design.
