• March 3-5 and 9-13: University Theatre presents "Blithe Spirit." Performances are March 3-5 and 9-12 at 7:30 p.m. and March 13 at 2 p.m. in Howell Theatre, first floor of Temple Building. • March 4-26: 29th Annual Undergraduate Studio Art Competition Exhibition. Prescott Gallery, 4728 Prescott Ave. in Lincoln. Gallery hours are Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A reception will be held March 12 from 5-7 p.m. at Prescott Gallery. Awards will be announced at 6 p.m. Juried by Launa Bacon, a multidisciplinary artist and founder and director of Darger HQ.

• March 5-31: "Owning It: Engendering Consciousness" exhibition will be shown in the Love Library Commons and on The Cube in the Haymarket. The exhibition is curated by the UNL Social Practice Coalition and is part of UNL's Women's Week in March. A reception for the library exhibition will be held Monday, March 14 from 5-7 p.m. A reception at The Cube will be held Saturday, March 5 from 8-9:30 p.m. The UNL Social Practice Coalition is a collective of artists and activists interested in blurring the lines between art, performance, political activism, community organizing, and environmentalism.

• March 7-8: ArtStream, the mobile pottery gallery, will be at UNL. Three guest artists will be coming, including Ayumi Horie, Lorna Meaden and Lisa Orr. Each artist will give an artist talk and demonstration during the visit. Monday, March 7: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. artist talk by Lisa Orr in Richards Hall Rm. 118; 2-5 p.m. Demos by all three artists in Richards Hall Rm. 118. Tuesday, March 8: 10:30-11:30 a.m. artist talk by Ayumi Horie in Richards Hall Rm. 118; 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. artist talk by Lorna Meaden in Richards Hall Rm. 118; 2-5 p.m. Demos by all three artists in Richards Hall Rm. 118.

This evening features the premiere of new arrangements of some of Bartok's piano works, arranged for string quartet by Gabriela Lena Frank. The Chiara String Quartet will also play alongside the winner of the 2016 Play with the Chiaras Audition for an exciting ending to this 10th Anniversary Season.

• March 31: Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist Lecture: Carlton Newton. 5:30 p.m. Richards Hall Rm. 15. Free. Newton earned his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute followed by teaching stints at Princeton University, the College of William & Mary and the University of Richmond. He is currently on the faculty of the sculpture department at Virginia Commonwealth University.

• March 31: Faculty Recital: John Bailey, flute. 7:30 p.m. Westbrook Music Building Rm. 119. Free. Bailey's recital is dedicated to the flute works of 20th-century German composer Paul Hindemith (1895-1963). Bailey is the Richard H. Larson Distinguished Professor of Music (flute) and a member of the Moran Woodwind Quintet, the resident faculty quintet at the Glenn Korff School of Music.

• March 31: Guest Artist Solungga Liu, piano. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Liu is associate professor of piano at the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University.
