A summer filmmaking camp will again be offered this summer for high school students through the UNL Big Red Summer Academic Camps.

Big Red Summer Academic Camps are residential, career exploration camps held at UNL and hosted by UNL faculty. By participating in a camp, youth get the opportunity to explore the UNL campus, meet people from across the country, spend time investigating an interest or potential career, and have a lot of fun.

"Discover Filmmaking," is a movie-making adventure that will allow students in grades 10-12 to make a film and spend time in the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. It is taught by the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film.

The camp runs June 5-10. Tuition is $600 (early/before April 15), $650 (regular/April 16-May 1) or $700 (late/after May 1). The registration deadline is May 1. Space is limited, and camps will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
