As businesses grow, owners may find it necessary to hire individuals to assist with a variety of responsibilities. Hiring individuals leads to more managerial responsibilities and questions about how to best recruit, train, and manage employees. We, a group of UNL Extension Educators focused on growing Nebraska businesses, are seeking to better understand the human resource education needs of Nebraska’s growing agricultural businesses in order to develop programming and materials to meet these needs. To do this we are conducting an online survey to determine what human resource topics are important to Nebraska’s farmers/ranchers and to learn what delivery methods (in person, online, etc.) are preferred.
