Student and Alumni Achievements September 18 - October 2

Agricultural engineering students on the Husker Quarter-Scale Tractor Team took top honors at the International Quarter-Scale Tractor Student Design competition in June.

Two BSE seniors were chosen as part of the 2019 homecoming royalty finalists. Kayla Ney from Omaha, Nebraska and Andrea Harris from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Kayla and Andrea are both biological systems engineering majors. Find the full list from Nebraska Today.

Three graduate students, Long Chen, Evan Curtis, and Brandi J. Brown were accepted into the Graduate Student Teaching Fellows Program. The College of Engineering Graduate Student Teaching Fellows program is a one-year competitive program that prepares graduate students who are currently (or will be) teaching at the postsecondary level. This is a unique opportunity that allows graduate students to engage with evidence-based teaching methods applicable to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
