Paul Jasa and Joe Luck will teach sessions in the Nebraska Extension Successful Farmer Program Series. Sessions are available to watch online or attend 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. IANR Media shared this news in "Extension Successful Farmer Series starts Jan. 4".

Two awards were features of the Office of Research and Economic Development's "Top Awards from Public Sponsors, November 2018": Yufeng Ge is a member of a team studying Functional Analysis of Nitrogen Responsive Networks in Sorghum, which received a $1.3M grant. Rick Stowell and Amy Schmidt received a $496,000 grant to examine Water and Nutrient Recycling: A Decision Tool and Synergistic Innovative Technology.

Angie Pannier and graduate student Amy Mantz were the face of Nebraska Today's "2018: Nebraska's year in review". Amy and Angie are pictured looking at a hydrogel in Angie's lab. Research by Suat Irmak and graduate student Meetpal Kukal on extended growing seasons was highlighted in the "Excellence in the physical sciences" section of the article.

Nebraska Extension shared their 2018 award winners in "2018 Nebraska Extension, NCEA and Epsilon Sigma Phi Award Winners". BSE members Daran Rudnick and Paul Jasa were honored with Excellence in Extension Team awards for their work with UNL Testing Ag Performance Solutions (TAPS) and Hail Know, respectively.
