Mackenzie Savaiano, Assistant Professor of Practice in SECD, won the 2015 Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Division on Visual Impairments and Deafblindness Dissertation of the Year Award. Mackenzie’s dissertation was titled, 'Comparison of Vocabulary Instruction Strategies for Students who Read Braille’. She will be recognized at the CEC International Convention and Expo in San Diego, CA in April.
