Next Dine & Discover Nov. 15 at Tia Lety’s

The next CEHS Dine & Discover outing is at 6 p.m., Nov. 15 at Tia Lety’s, a Salvadorian and Mexican cuisine restaurant at 2701 N. 27th St in Lincoln. All CEHS faculty, staff and guests are welcome. If you’re interested in joining with your colleagues and friends for a new experience, please RSVP to Jim Benes, CEHS global exchange coordinator, at jbenes@unl.edu by Nov. 9.

Each person is responsible for their own bill. An average meal prices is around $10. Menu favorites at Tia Lety’s include:

Salvadorian

PUPUSAS (v)
Handmade and grilled white corn tortillas stuffed with your choice of pork, cheese, beans, and/or loroco.

TAMALES
Marinated meat, beans, pepper, potato, and spices wrapped in masa mix covered in banana leaf.

PASTELES
Deep fried tacos with pork stuffing.

YUCA (v optional)
Yuca root fried or boiled with your choice of chicharrones (pork), salpicon (beef ), or marinated chicken.

SALVADORIAN DESSERTS

Mexican

CHILE RELLENO DE QUESO (v)
Fried bell pepper stuffed with cheese.

TOSTADA
Pork, beef or chicken in a tortilla with beans and toppings.

PLATANO FRITO MADURO (v)
Deep fried ripened banana.

TACOS
Topped with choice of steak, pork, ground beef, or chicken, onion, cilantro, radish, lime, cotija cheese.

SOPES
Fried tortilla with beans and shredded chicken, beef or pork with lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, sour cream, and cheese
