The OLLI Movies that Matter Film Festival uses the power of documentary films to draw attention to and bring greater understanding of the cultural, social and socio-economic issues of our time. From NBC News comes a documentary film that examines how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and leaders of the civil rights movement used the power of print and visual media, especially television, to awaken America to the shame and injustice of racial inequality.
A moderator will introduce each film and facilitate a panel discussion with local experts on the issues. Free. Open to the public.
