Uncovering and Leveraging Students' Home Literacies in the Classroom eWorkshop designed by Dr. Lydiah Kiramba.

The essential question of this eWorkshop is "How do I reposition multilingual/multicultural students’ strengths in the classroom as assets? How can I build on the strengths and assets that multilingual/multicultural students bring to my classroom?" The focus of this eWorkshop is to provide educators with a deeper understanding of funds of knowledge in the classroom. We seek to understand ways in which educators can identify multilingual student’s funds of knowledge, and, reposition them as strengths, as assets in the classroom.
