Often communities and independent service organizations are overburdened by the large number of volunteers who want to volunteer their time and resources to disaster recovery. Communities in the beginning stages of recovery don't have the infrastructure necessary to ensure individuals have the proper shelter or materials to create effective service. Thus, the best way to serve communities currently is to donate money to organizations that ask for it. These professional organizations have the experience and resources necessary to safely aid communities, and understand the proper procedure to effectively serve communities. You can also, if requested by the organization, donate materials that are needed. Below is a list of organizations and links to where you can donate:
Farm Rescue - The mission of Farm Rescue is to help family farms and ranches bridge crises so they have an opportunity to continue viable operations. Farm Rescue provides planting, haying, harvesting and livestock feeding assistance to farm and ranch families that have experienced a major injury, illness or natural disaster.

Disaster Relief Fund from the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation - Nebraska Farm Bureau established a Disaster Relief Fund at the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation to provide emergency aid to Nebraska farmers, ranchers, and rural communities affected by recent storms and flooding. The Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit. Any donations made to the fund are tax-deductible. 100% of the donations will be distributed to Nebraska farmers, ranchers, and rural communities affected by the disasters
