With CAREER Award, Eun seeks to ease flooding by studying frozen soil absorption

A five-year NSF Early Career Development Program grant is supporting Jongwan Eun’s research to study how frozen soil’s capacity to absorb water can be affected by snowfall, rapidly changing temperatures and rainfall, all of which contributed to the disastrous 2019 eastern Nebraska floods.
