The final Durham School Distinguished Lecture of AY23-24 features Dr. Bassem Andrawes (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign) on the topic “Innovative Prestressing Technique for Infrastructure Resilience and Durability Using Shape Memory Alloys.” The lecture is Friday, March 29, from 12:15-1:15 p.m. in PKI 160, Kiewit Hall A405W and via Zoom.
Boxed lunches are available starting at noon to those who RSVP by Tuesday, March 26 at 5 p.m. (link below). Dr. Andrawes will be in Omaha to deliver this lecture in person; if any college faculty members want to meet with Dr. Andrawes when he is in Omaha on Friday (either in the morning or afternoon), please contact DSAEC Director Lily Wang ASAP.
