A paper co-authored by Dr. Tian Zhang and Dr. John Stansbury, CIVE, along with graduate student Meng Hu, received the prestigious Rudolph Hering Medal, given by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). It was published in the June 2015 ASCE Journal of Environmental Engineering.

Research by Dr. Eli Sutter, MME, and Dr. Peter Sutter, ECE, was included in the April 4 journal Nature Communications. They co-authored the Nature Communications study with researchers from Brookhaven National Laboratory, the Italian Institute of Technology and the University of Stuttgart (Germany).

Dr. Benjamin Terry, MME, was named the Tau Beta Pi Distinguished Teaching Award recipient for 2016 by a vote of the engineering student body.

Dr. Clarence Waters received the Architectural Engineering Institute’s 2016 Outstanding Architectural Engineering Educator Award. The award was presented during the AEI Forum March 31-April 1 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
