Congratulations to the following students on their recent awards.

Danielle Passaglia, AE, was one of 13 students nationwide chosen to receive DiscoverE’s 2016 New Faces of Engineering: College Edition Award. Among the selection criteria that is considered are a student’s involvement in national engineering organizations and community involvement both inside and outside the school.

Christopher Davidson, BSEN, was one of three UNL students chosen to receive a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship; he plans to use the three-year grant to find ways to replace damaged organs or tissues in the human body.

Yuchuan Shao, an MME graduate student, is one of seven recipients of the 2016 Materials Research Society's Graduate Student Gold Award.

Jonathan Berger, MECH, was one of four UNL students chosen to receive the William N. Wasson Student Leadership and Academic Award, presented at the annual NIRSA national conference April 3-6 in Florida. The award is given to 24 undergraduate and 12 graduate students nationwide and recognizes active participants, employees or volunteers in collegiate recreational sports departments.
