Each year, the college organizes a gift drive. In the last few years, we've donated blankets and warm clothing to organizations in Lincoln and Omaha.
This year, we contacted the Huskers Helping Huskers Pantry on City Campus and the UNO Mav Food Pantry to see what their needs are for students. Both organizations provided a quick list of popular items to help the numerous students who struggle financially while in college.
The College of Engineering Gift Drive runs Dec. 4-8. Bins and boxes will be placed in the Dean's Office areas on City and Scott Campus, as well as in the departments. You do not need to bring any donations to the Dean’s Holiday Party.
Both organizations noted a strong need for fill their shelves for students and have expressed their appreciation for any donations we can provide.

MAV Pantry:
The UNO pantry partners with Trader Joe’s to provide healthy, organic and culturally sensitive items. If you are interested in purchasing products from Trader Joe’s for the MAV Pantry, the graphic provides more details. Accepted items are specific to Trader Joe’s, but they also encourage donations of the following products:
*Individually wrapped toilet paper / Paper towels
*Feminine hygiene products
Please consider donating some of these products/items to help the students at UNL and UNO. (Paper products and hygiene items will be distributed to both pantries.)
