The Engineering Student Advisory Board on City Campus (eSAB) is seeking engineering faculty and staff to help serve food and supervise activities at the annual Rock the Block celebration, 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 on the Vine Street Fields (corner of 17th and Vine streets).

eSAB notes that "It is always great to have students interacting with the faculty and staff that they see throughout their days. This environment helps students to feel more comfortable and at home within the college."

Sponsored by eSAB, Rock the Block is the college’s biggest welcome event for students – offering free food (Raising Cane’s, Jimmy John’s, Dairy Store ice cream) and Pepsi products, while it lasts; games (including inflatable laser tag, mini golf, and a dunk tank) and music. Please email engineeringsab@gmail.com if you can volunteer the day of the event. If you are unable to volunteer, please consider attending the event and meeting students in a more informal setting.
