CSE programming team places first at site, second in region

CSE's programming team Poincare recently took first place at the local ICPC Programming Contest, and second place at the regional competition.

Team members included CSE students Cuong Than Viet, Kim Hao Nguyen, and Quan Nguyen.

In a 5-hour contest of hundreds of teams over 11 states and 2 Canadian provinces they took an early lead and never dropped below second place. With this showing, they will represent the University of Nebraska–Lincoln at the ICPC North America Championship in Atlanta Georgia on Feb. 22, where they will have the chance to earn the right to represent North America and UNL at the wold finals in Moscow Russia.
