With the spring break approaching, the Department of Computer Science would like to take this opportunity to encourage students to rest and relax. In this spirit, the following is a good-humored list of non-academic activities CSE students can do during the break.
.) Sleep late. No 8 a.m. classes this week.
.) Host a LAN party. Don't just sleep, be social!
.) Aimlessly walk around Avery Hall Wednesday looking for popcorn. It's probably best to bring your own though.
.) Catch up on coursework - or at least have a slight pang of guilt over not studying. We had to add one serious point to this list.
.) Play Gears of War and Halo non-stop.
.) Step away from your computer! We know it's difficult, but you can do it. But seriously - get some fresh air. Don't forget to get out and enjoy the sunshine. If you must, take your laptop to avoid the symptoms of withdrawal.
.) Defrag! It takes so long.
.) Only communicate via ASCII.
.) Blog your most mundane actions. You have no papers to write, so you will need to find something to replace this. Brushing your teeth and cooking pasta has never been so interesting.
.) Come up with CSE jokes and spam your friends' Facebook walls with them.
