The CSE Learning Community and honors students visited Sandhills Publishing on March 8.
Eight students, accompanied by Dr. Steve Goddard, CSE Department Chair and Jenna Gronewold, CSE Administrative Coordinator, attended the information session at Sandhills Publishing. They had the opportunity to tour Sandhills' new Gold Leed Certified Data Center building (there are only two with this certification in Nebraska). They also met with several interns and full-time employees to discuss what Sandhills is doing in mobile development, web development, and customer application development
The visit is just one of many joint ventures that Sandhills has with UNL. The company is in the process of designing a program that will provide scholarships, mentoring, and internship opportunities to UNL CSE students.
