Assistant professor of practice Jinku Kim with the Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts is looking for Unreal Engine developers to build an immersive interactive audio-visual experience in AR/VR environments and/or art venues.

During this project, you will discover interactive design concepts through the lenses of 3D game, art installation, and sounds. It would be a fun project for those who love music and arts.

You will:
• Work with visual and sound artists to implement new features into immersive audio-visual experience in AR/VR
• Design, prototype, and develop new features in Unreal Engine

Required skills:
• Basic knowledge of programming such as algorithms, data structures, frameworks, and/or operating systems and platforms
• Basic ability with integrated development environments, editors, engines, and debuggers
• Excitement about learning new concepts and implementing them into projects

Preferred skills:
• Proficiency in C++ programming language

You will work with:
• Both major desktop and standalone VR platforms (Oculus Quest 1/2, Holoens 2, and/or Oculus Quest Pro)
• Unreal Engine 5 and its Oculus tools and ARKit

Schedule:
• Flexible working schedule: 20 hours/week
• Project schedule: December 1, 2022–September 2024
