Register for classes early!

This is a notice that priority registration for Spring 2013 begins today for some students. Register during this time through MyRed to ensure you get a seat in the classes you want. Remember, it is important that students meet with their advisor before registering to ensure requirements are being met.

If you're in CSCE 155A, 155H, 155E, or a freshmen taking 156, please attend the group advising session on Thursday, October 18 at 3:30 in Avery 115. Dr. Riedesel and Dr. Bourke will be advising to the group as a whole and then you will have the opportunity to ask individual questions afterwards. This is an easy way to meet with a CSE advisor without making an appointment. Please attend if you fit the criteria above and you are free at that time. You will need to bring your latest DARS report and your NUID number.

If you are an upperclassmen, you can make an individual appointment with Dr. Riedesel by going to his webpage: http://cse.unl.edu/~riedesel/. From there, click on the appointment schedule, find an open time, and email Dr. Riedesel. Dr. Bourke and Jenna Gronewold are also available to meet with students. You can schedule an appointment with them through MyPlan. To contact the entire advising team, email advising@cse.unl.edu. You can also go to http://cse.unl.edu/advising/ for more general advising information.

For easy enrollment, go on to MyRed and place classes in the shopping cart. When registration opens, you simply need to press the enroll button. This will help organize your schedule and relieve stress when it comes to searching through course listings.

The schedule for registration is as follows:

Seniors - October 22, 23, and 24
Junior - October 25, 26, and 29
Sophomores - October 30, 31, and November 1
Freshmen - November 2, 5, and 6

Please check MyRed for specific times.

If you have any questions, please contact CSE Undergraduate Advisor Charles Riedesel at riedesel@cse.unl.edu or http://go.unl.edu/jyo for online resources, including course listings.
