The Student Resource Center is located in the basement of Avery in room 13A, and is intended to help UNL CSE students with their CSE classwork.

If you need help, the Student Resource Center is a great place to go. Also, remember to ask your professors and TAs questions.

The SRC is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Stop in between 3 and 4 p.m. on Wednesdays for popcorn “pick-me-up.”

If you're looking for a job, we have three shifts that still need to be covered. Please apply if you have availability and meet the requirements.

The open shifts are Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 9:00-9:30 a.m., and Fridays from 9:00-9:30 a.m. If you're not free at this time, we may be able to use you as a back up so please still apply.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate, upper-class standing; Computer Science or Computer Engineering major preferred but not required
• Need to have completed 230, 235, & 310 (or currently enrolled in 310)
• A desire to help CSE students succeed both academically and socially at UNL
• A passion for science, technology, and learning
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to commit up to 10 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters
• Ability to serve as a liaison between students, chief undergraduate advisor, and faculty
• Minimum GPA of 3.0

Job Description:
• Technical Support Duties – Provide technical support to students, including launching programs, printer, login and hand-in problems, use of various email programs; and provide general lab upkeep including workstation checks
• Homework/Advising Duties – General homework help with topics such as giving tips on debugging a program, and helping with syntax problems; general advising regarding topics like course content, sequence, and instruction
• Mentoring Duties – Update Student Resource Center website content as needed; promote the Center’s services to fellow CSE students; serve as a liaison between students, the undergraduate advisor, and the faculty; serve as a role model for other CSE students; and be an advocate for department activities, student groups, and services
