Do you have your resume up on Husker Hire Link? Are you not landing any interviews? Did you attend the Spring Career Fair and now are wondering what to do? We have some advice on how to use Husker Hire Link to get the job that’s perfect for you!
1. Put your polished resume and a cover letter on Husker Hire Link.
2. Fill out your profile. This will allow employers to better understand your background, and will also allow them to contact you more easily.
3. Add you name to the talent search.
4. “Favorite” jobs. Your favorites can be found in the “Profile” section of “My Activity Summary.”
5. Look under “Recommended” in the “Jobs-Internships-Interviews” tab to find your closest matches.
6. Look in the “Employer Directory” to see if companies you are interested in are hiring. There is also a list of individual contacts available in companies.
7. Apply for on-campus interviews. Once you do this, look in the “OCI Activity” section to see if you have any requested on-campus interviews.
8. Be careful to read instructions. Some employers utilize the “Apply Now” button but ask you to email them a resume and cover letter to a specific address.
9. Keep up with “Fairs and Information Sessions” and on-campus events. There is also a tab that allows you to see upcoming workshops and webinars.
10. Keep an eye out on the calendar. Many visits and recruiting events that are listed here and not listed elsewhere.
