Title: ACM SIGHPC/Intel Computational & Data Science Fellowships
Summary: ACM SIGHPC and Intel are excited to announce a new international program of graduate fellowships, beginning in 2016. The goal is to increase the diversity of students pursuing graduate degrees in data science and computational science, including women as well as students from racial/ethnic backgrounds that have not traditionally participated in the computing field. The program will support students pursuing degrees at institutions anywhere in the world.

Title: Technology Intern Opportunity at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
Summary: The Center for the Advancement of Data and Research in Economics (CADRE) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is recruiting for the position of Technology Intern. CADRE provides support for innovative research on monetary policy and macroeconomics. For the summer of 2016, they are offering paid technology internships for undergraduate students.

Title: ACM SIGPLAN Programming Languages Mentoring Workshop
Summary: The goal of PLMW is to introduce undergraduates, masters students, and early PhD students with a particular emphasis on women and under-represented minorities to research in the field of programming language design and implementation. Several sponsors have generously donated scholarship funds for qualified students to attend PLMW@PLDI 2016. These scholarships should cover reasonable expenses (airfare, hotel, and registration fees) for attendance at the workshop and PLDI. The application is available at submission website.

Summary: The schedule and registration for UNL's 2016 Digital Humanities Bootcamp: A Beginner's Guide to Digital Humanities is now up at dhbootcamp.wordpress.com. The Bootcamp, organized by the Digital Humanities Student Association, is next week, April 6-7. Participants need not attend all sessions. Come for one, come for them all, or anything in between. Sessions include Intro to Digital Humanities, Digital Humanities in the Classroom, GIS, Project Development, Digitization Fundamentals, Gaming Pedagogy, Visualization Basics, Text Analysis and more. The Digital Humanities Student Association also will hold its inaugural meeting. Session descriptions will be added to the schedule over the next day or so. Registration closes Sunday evening, April 3. Title: Open Science Grid User School 2016 July 25-29 @ U Wisc Madison
Summary: The application for the Open Science Grid (OSG) User School 2016, which takes place 25–29 July at the beautiful University of Wisconsin in Madison is now open. Participants will learn to use high throughput computing (HTC) to harness vast amounts of computing power for research, applicable to nearly any field of study (e.g., physics, chemistry, engineering, life sciences, earth sciences, agricultural and animal sciences, economics, social sciences, medicine, and more). Students accepted to this program will receive financial support for basic travel and local costs associated with the School.
