CSE Professors Win Awards

Chris Bourke won the College of Engineering's Henry Y. Kleinkauf Family Distinguished New Faculty Teaching Award. The award is presented annually to up to two junior faculty members in the College of Engineering who have demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Carrick Detweiler has won the College of Engineering's Edgerton Innovation Award. The Edgerton Innovation Award is presented annually to up to one tenure-track junior faculty member in the College of Engineering who has 1) successfully attracted funding from state, federal, and private agencies; 2) integrated research with graduate and undergraduate education; and 3) suggested novel and innovative ideas and projects.

Mehmet Can Vuran was named a Susan J. Rosowski Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. The professorship recognizes faculty at the associate professor level who have achieved distinguished records of scholarship or creative activity and who show exceptional promise for future excellence.
